MSU adding new graduate level courses This fall, Mountain State University’s School of Graduate Studies has some exciting new course offerings for graduate-level students. These six new courses:
Don’t miss President Polk’s new Seminar in Executive Culture (GIDS 681), which meets on Wednesday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm beginning September 30, 2009, and running through October 30, 2009. If you are interested in learning how to succeed in the world of executives and how to advance your career in any organization, you don’t want to miss this opportunity to learn from MSU’s president in an intimate and interactive setting. Other new courses are as follows: Comparative Criminology (GCJA 537) is an exciting look at crime, criminals, and corrections across various settings and cultures. This course is offered on Saturday mornings from September 12, 2009, until October 10, 2009, from 10 am until 1 pm. Shakespeare’s Tragedies (GHUM 504) offers a critical and comprehensive look at the methods and meaning of the tragedies of one of literature’s great playwrights. This course is offered on Saturday mornings from September 12, 2009, until October 10, 2009, from 10 am until 1 pm. Teaching Intro to Psychology (GIDS 524) is designed for individuals who want to teach introductory college level psychology. This course may help you gain valuable skills to enhance your resume and prepare you for work as an instructor. This class begins Monday, September 14, 2009, and meets from 5 pm to 8 pm each week through October 12, 2009. Statistics (GIDS 565) is useful for graduate students in any discipline who want to review their skills in this area. This course meets on Thursday evenings at 6 pm for the entire semester. Archetype and Myth (GIDS 645) Dates and times to be announced mid-fall, this course explores archetypes and mythology in literature, music, and art.
