Perry to Lead Alumni Office

BECKLEY- Mountain State University proudly announces that Elizabeth Perry has been named Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving.  Perry began her career at MSU as an office manager in the Advancement department and, until her recent promotion, was the department’s Development Services Coordinator.  She has also coordinated the Beckley Commencement and Hooding ceremonies since 2007.

Prior to joining MSU, she worked as an administrative assistant for five years for a third-party pharmacy benefits company before coming to The College of West Virginia, now Mountain State University, in 1997.  

Perry graduated with honors with a master’s degree in strategic leadership and a bachelor’s degree in business management with a concentration in office management both from Mountain State University.  She earned an associate of applied business with an executive secretarial concentration from Bryant & Stratton Business College.

She is a member of the West Virginia Advancement Directors Association, Independent College Advancement Associates and Council for Advancement and Support of Education. She serves the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce on the Ambassador Committee.

Most recently, the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce honored Perry with as their “2008 Volunteer of the Year” award.

Perry is an active member of the Matheny Church of God including the music and praise teams. She also attends the mid-week service at the Church of God Family Worship Center in Beckley, W.Va.
